King's College AUX gym and weight room, Wilkes-Barre, PA · December 7, 2026 – January 9, 2027
Sixteen coached nights over winter break. Timed on night one and night sixteen.
Coached by Josh Colley, NCAA All-American & Professional Athlete

Sound familiar?
Josh Colley's answer
Three nights a week we sprint first, then lift for power. Two nights a week we work technique: block starts, acceleration, approach rhythm, takeoff. Every rep is coached. You get the King's weight room and the indoor facility for the whole block, not a parking lot and a resistance band. Night one you run a timed 30m. Night sixteen you run it again. The difference is the point. Ten athletes, not forty. Four makeup nights are held in case weather takes a session.

Why this event
This is the five weeks between cross country and indoor that most sprinters and jumpers waste. Sixteen coached nights at King's, in a real weight room and an indoor facility, built around the two things that make you faster: how hard you push the ground and how well you are set up to push it. If you run indoor, this is your December. If you run outdoor, this is where a March opener starts. Ten athletes. I see every rep.
The plan
Every week
4 makeup nights held Wed, Jan 6 to Sat, Jan 9, for weather only. A night lost to snow moves there, and the timed test stays on the last night.
Bring spikes, trainers, water and a layer for the walk between the gym and the weight room. Park in the lot off N River St. Night one we test the 30m, so come warm and come early.

Before you ask
There is no makeup for a missed night; the makeup nights are for weather only. Two misses still qualify for the guarantee. More than two and the guarantee is off, but you keep every session you attend.
Three makeup nights are held Jan 6 to 8, and Saturday Jan 9 if we need it. A night lost to snow moves there, and the timed retest moves to the last night we use.
Me, every night. Ten athletes, one coach. I see every rep, which is the whole reason the group is capped.
You get a call that night from me, not an email the next day. Every athlete carries event insurance for the block, and the emergency contact on the form is who we reach first.
Every athlete carries $7 of event insurance, and booking online adds a 3.5% card fee. Sign up by Nov 9 and it is $500 flat: $100 off and both fees on us.
No. The block works because the same ten athletes show up for all sixteen.
You need to be in grades 9 to 12 and want to be faster. That is the whole list.
No. It is open to anyone, limited only by the ten spots, grade and event group.
